Steampunk Halloween High Heel

SVGcuts is having another challenge/giveaway.  Details are on their blog http://svgcuts.com/blog/2013/08/06/make-a-3d-high-heel-shoe-earn-a-gift-card/.  Here is what I did for the “challenge” part.  You get the high heel file for free!  I went with a Halloween Steampunk theme.  TFL!

This is my absolute favorite part of the shoe!  I cut a piece of Halloween paper and glued it into a bottle cap that I had flattened in my Sizzix die cut machine.  Then I used some liquid jewelry resin (the resin and the hardener had to be mixed together) and I poured it into the bottle cap.  I let it dry for at least 12 hours before touching it.  The package says it needs to cure for a total of 24 hours.  I punched a hole in it with my Crop-A-Dile after it was dry.  I did not shatter and it was not too soft.  It is hard to see the glassy effect in this photo, but I just love how it came out!
